The details on the stonework of the gargoyle are great.

Classic version! It reminds me of one of my favorite artists: the late Jim Aparo. He was THE Batman penciler of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. He did the original Death in the Family.

Aparo is one of my favorite Batman artists as well. I just love his work on Batman and the Outsiders.

Thank you! The Bronze Age Batman is my all-time favorite. He'll always be the one true Batman to me.

I don't really know what the bronze age is, but I always preffered this older look. It was so with the 66's Batman (we got that show pretty late in germany, in 89 so I grew up a bit with it) and with Batman - The Animated Series, my over all favorite.

It's an article about the Bronze Age of Comic Books in general. I can understand your confusion though since the picture they chose to include is the cover of The Amazing Spider-Man #122.

ah okay. so the bronze age was mainly within 70's and 80's? What about 90's? Batman - The Animated Series for example was in the 90's and still supported that classic design.

The DC animated universe is different from the comics and has its own rules. An animated series may use a classic, modern or completely original Batsuit design.
